-> Mr. C R Vaitheeswaran started Shanthi Anand CADD Centre in partnership with Mr V Sathyamoorthy, to offer design services for Engineering Companies in around Chennai.
-> Mr R Parthasarathy was the first engineer to join the company with CAD skill and spearhead the CADD Centre start up and beyond.
-> The first CADD Centre was born - in a 400 sq ft room with 4 computers!
1988 - Partners with Autodesk
-> Autodesk Inc, USA appoints CADD Centre as the First Authorized AutoCAD Training Centre in India.
-> The first ever class commenced on March 2, 1988. Mr. Parthasarathy conducted classes and prepared other engineers alongside.
-> First exclusive training for a corporate company - Bharat Earth Movers Ltd, Bangalore conducted at Chennai.
1989 - First Centre outside Chennai
-> CADD Centre's first branch at Bangalore was opened in Dickenson Road with 6 employees.
-> In house Training successfully conducted for Kirloskar Electric, HMT, BHEL, Indian Telephone Industries, BEL, ISRO, BFW and many others.
1990 - The Capital City Beckons
-> Starts its first training centre in India's capital, New Delhi, at Greater Kailash.
-> By venturing into New Delhi, CADD Centre truly became a pan Indian Organisation, providing students everywhere with training to hone design skills.
1995 - The Franchising Movement Begins
-> Commits itself to franchising for expansion with an aim to create entrepreneurs and to replicate its successful training model in other parts of the country.
-> CADD Centre’s first franchise centre is opened at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. Mr.V.R Chander- 1st Franchisee Partner ( December 1st 1995).
1996 - Sets Foot in Andhra Pradesh
-> In 1996 Andhra Pradesh witnessed the inauguration of two franchise centres.
-> On 20th January 1996, Hyderabad opened a franchise centre to provide specialized CAD training.Vizag, not to be left behind opened its CADD Centre on February 17, 1996.
1997 - Announces Scholarship for Students
-> Launches CADD Quest as an annual scholarship exam to encourage meritorious engineering students to get trained in engineering software.
-> CADD Quest was the first aptitude exam to award students with scholarship to pursue CAD Courses. CADD Quest followed the unique concept of awarding scholarships according to marks scored.
1999 - CADD Centre Goes Global
-> Creates its presence in Nepal and Colombo by opening international franchise centres.
-> Launches courses in Color Graphics and Multimedia, an emerging field in India.
2001 - Becomes a Multi-Product Training Centre
-> From a single product training company, offering courses in Autodesk's AutoCAD, CADD Centre introduces courses and becomes a multi-product training company.
-> Creates courses in project management, primarily to help engineers equip themselves in project management, as they move up the career path.
2002 - World Starts to Take Notice
-> Wins Best Franchisor Award from Franchise India Holdings in the “Technical Education” category.
-> Launches courses in MSC Nastran, the world's most widely used Finite Element Analysis (FEA) solver.
2005 - Crosses 100 Centre Mark
-> A milestone in the history of CAD training industry in India is crossed: CADD Centre opens its 100th franchise centre.
-> Launches Master Diploma course in Interior Design. Launches Emerging Trends and Technologies, a structured seminar programs. The first event happens at Bangalore.
2007 - Enters into Creative Skills Training
-> Floats a new division: DreamZone, as an institute to teach creative studies.
-> Introduces new courses in leading software products including SolidWorks and Primavera, a project management software.
-> Crosses another milestone by opening its 200th franchise centre
2009 - Electronic CAD in a Big Way
-> Launches courses in Electronic Design Automation based on OrCAD, Pspice, two leading electronic CAD products.
-> Launches courses in Revit Architecture.
-> Middle East market opens for CADD Centre. Launches new centres in Bhutan and Qatar. Also opens a centre at Maldives
2010 - Asia's Largest Network of CAD Training Centres
-> CADD Centre crosses 300 centre mark.
-> Opens a new centre in Dhaka.
-> Launches courses in Unigraphics NX, a product lifecycle management product from Siemens.
-> CADD Centre boasts of centres in 11 countries.
2011 - Diversification that Delivers
-> Launches Synergy School of Business Skills, a training division to offer courses in business skills.
-> Collabration with Siemens PLM software to launch an exclusive training in NX Nastran a premium computer-aided engineering (CAE) tool ,enabling designers to produce safe, reliable and optimized designs.
2012 - A Silver Jubilee Saga
A humble beginning, with 6 members, today in its 25th year, CADD Centre is 400 employees strong. Expanded to over 312 centres in 14 countries and partnered with top engineering companies. Trained over 8 lakh students ; won the "Best Franchisor Award - Education" from 2002. Awarded the "Business Leadership Award" and ranked among the Top 100 Franchise Opportunities in 2012.
